Okay, so I've had a little break. After Creamfields ended, it kinda dawned on me that summer is no longer upon us and I must say, I am a little depressed. Although I love snuggling up by a fire in thick pjs waiting for Santa to come, I LIVE for Summer. So as I'm getting organised to move back up to university, I thought I'd get back into the swing of things with showing you the stuff I've been loving recently. Almost like a favourites post... but not at the end of the month... kind of random.

Getting back to a new term at university, for me, involves a lot of back and forth action to Newcastle. Especially now that we have our own house in Jesmond (I will do a new house/bedroom post when fully settled). Fortunately for me, but not so for my bank account, coming up to Newcastle has involved quite a few nights out and shopping trips. So I'm going to start with the beauty bits I've been loving recently.

Numero Uno is this little duo from NYX. I actually only picked these up yesterday in Eldon Square but they just needed to be in this post- I love them already. I am so late on the whole Butter Gloss hype from NYX, but I totally understand the craze! The shade above is Creme Brule (one of the most popular I've gathered) and it's perfect for me. Almost like a your-lips-but-better-colour. And at only £5.50, I'm definitely going to be picking up Tiramasu when I go back.

The second is the HD Eyeshadow Base at £5.50- ok not as exciting- but this is a basic, staple piece. I am forever struggling with my shadow creasing and this primer has sorted me right out! Honestly a great product.

The next is another hyped up product across the internet, so I finally delved into getting my hands on a couple. Yep it's the LA Girl Pro Concealers. These may be the cheapest concealers ever???? Not only are they ridiculously cheap, they also are very long lasting and have amazing coverage. I picked up the shades Porcelain and Light Ivory for highlighting and concealing and Toast for contouring. You wont believe me... but I bought these off EBay for around £3 each, but you can also pick them up on Beauty Bay for £5. MAD! Again another highly recommended product.

So these booties above are something I have been loving since I spotted them in Primark... YES Primark. Can you believe? They were only £18 and come in this gorgeous Khaki suede design as well as an all black design. I had to stop myself from grabbing both. Anyways, these boots are not only gorgeous they are also super comfy. I wore these on my birthday night out in Newcastle not long ago, and I didn't complain once about my feet hurting. Best grab these quick before they go.

Another on trend style I've been stealing recently is the whole t-shirt|cami combination. I absolutely love it! As well as myself, a lot of high-street shops are following this trend by selling this combination in one- saves us pairing tshirts and camis together. For one of my outfits at Creamfields I paired a Grey Satin Cami from Topshop with a white, long-sleeved funnel neck and it was ideal. Just the right amount of warmth with a fashion edge.

Another little dainty fashion piece I've been loving is this gold, ring necklace from H&M. H&M are definitely up there with one of my favourite high-street shops at the minute- they have some amazing pieces in. I stumbled across this necklace and thought it's so simple yet such a staple, and at £2.99 you can't really go wrong! I've literally been sleeping in this I love it so much, a perfect addition to any outfit.

The above necklace is something I wore alongside those Primark boots for my birthday night-out in Newcastle. The above shirt-dress is also from H&M at £14.99 (similar to this). The material is a gorgeously comfy jersey material and has very flattering slits up each leg. I did have to wear a pair of black shorts underneath- just in case- but the shirt is such an effortless outfit which looks so classy and simple.

I picked this up as an alternative to the Binky Shirt dresses from In the Style UK. Although their dresses are absolutley stunning, I always thought £33.99 was a bit steep for an oversized shirt. So £14.99 did me nicely. I paired the H&M necklace with my Casio watch, an old body chain from Miss Selfridge and a pair of simple gold hoops.

So as I've said previously, I've been back and forth to Newcastle quite a lot recently. Yesterday, I had an interview at university so me and my Mam thought why not make a day of it. The sun was absolutely beaming, so it was the perfect day for a bit of lunch in one of my favourite Newcastle spots and a few cocktails (cheeky). The above cocktails were from, the very popular, Pitcher and Piano along Newcastle's quayside

This place is always busy but the bar staff are incredibly attentive and I have never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a drink. We went for the Orange and Raspberry cooler- a mix of gin, Aperol, fresh raspberries and orange juice (if I remember correctly..). I am a serious gin lover so it was perfect for me. If you are ever in Newcastle I would highly recommend Pitcher and Piano as well as the Slug and Lettuce (pictured above). They both have 2-4-1 cocktail deals on also- which makes it all that sweeter.

LOLA JEANS NEWCASTLE. FOREGROUND: Gourmet Steak Sandwich, BACKGROUND: Lola's Classic Burger. Plus Triple Cooked Chips.
For lunch, we headed over to one of my all-time favourite restaurants. Lola Jeans. The reason I love Lola's, besides the amazing food, is the awesome, thrifty decor and relaxed dining experience. Their bar is also amazing with a wide range of draught lagers and beers as well as a huge cocktail menu- can't go wrong!

When it comes down to food, Lola's had actually had a change in menu since the last time I visisted to it was all a little exciting- I lead a sad life. I went with the Gourmet Steak Sandwich at £9.95 (steak w red onion marmalade, cajun peppers and onions with their creamy steak sauce) SO tasty. And my Mam went with the Lola's Classic Burger at £8.95 (two patties, mature cheddar, streaky bacon, shoestring onions, shredded iceberg and Lola's sauce). She also loved hers. This paired with a shared order of Triple Cooked Chips £2.95 and an ice-cold pint of Amstel was a winner for me.

So, that's me done! All the things I've been loving recently - a bit of beauty, fashion, lifestyle.

Thank you so much for reading this post, hope you enjoyed it!

I have linked all products mentioned in this post (or tried too) as usual so I hope that is helpful.
